Beginning of the Construction of a NatUrgas®-Biogas Plant in Upper Austria (April 2010) After a long time of project preparation, the construction work for the erection of the bio-methane production plant NatUrgas Engerwitzdorf, Upper Austria, are currently starting.
Thereby, the OÖ. Gas-Wärme GmbH builds the complete raw gas production plant by order of the NatUrgas Engerwitzdorf GmbH. The NatUrgas Engerwitzdorf GmbH is an association of four farmers who will operate the raw gas production plant as well as the linked raw material management in the future. The raw gas is produced according to the proven and tested concept of the biogas plants following the NatUrgas procedure® which were built by the cooperation partner ENSERV. Therefore, a main digester (volume = 2,400m³), a post-digester (volume = 1,200m³) and storage capacities for the raw materials and the biogas manure are constructed. The raw materials applied for the recovery of bio-methane are renewable agricultural resources as well as fertilizers from agricultural animal husbandry. The biogas conditioning unit that has been constructed by the OÖ. Gas-Wärme and will later be operated by this organization is the heart of the bio-methane production plant. This biogas conditioning plant is built according to the BCM® procedure following the DGE Engineering GmbH, Wittenberg from Germany. This procedure works with the pressure-free amine gas treatment which is characterised by a very high efficiency. The bio-methane production plant will produce approximately 10,800,000 kWh; 970,000 Nm³ of bio-methane per year. The produced bio-methane corresponds to the quality criteria of the G33 (natural gas H) and is fed into the OGV 316 in Engerwitzdorf.
